Basketball Recap: Hanford Comes Up Short

Hanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mission Oak Hawks and fell 64-19. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bullpups of the 75-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Mission Oak found their leader in sophomore Aiyana Murray, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. Murray has been hot recently, having also posted six or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Miya Centeno, who posted six points in addition to 11 rebounds and seven assists.

Hanford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Mission Oak, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Hanford has already played their next contest, a 52-49 win against Lemoore on the 23rd. As for Mission Oak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-30 loss against Dinuba on the 23rd.
