Softball Recap: Freeman Beats Centennial for Their Third Straight Victory

Freeman waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Centennial Broncos by a score of 10-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 back in September.

Freeman got a massive performance out of Leyton Lueders, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Lueders has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Niles, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Freeman hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive matchups.

Freeman's victory bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Centennial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

Freeman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centennial, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tekamah-Herman at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
