Volleyball Recap: Sierra Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hoover, Sierra was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Central East Bengals. The victory continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now won three in a row.

Mia Bautista paced Sierra's offense, picking up five kills. Bautista got some help from Brooke Gibson and her eight assists. Maci Watt controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The win got Sierra back to even at 3-3. As for Central East, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Sierra didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Hoover on the 30th. As for Central East, they will challenge Caruthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
