Baseball Recap: Clarksville Comes Up Short

Clarksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 15-2 to the Waldron Bulldogs. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Clarksville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Snellings, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Rogelio Morales also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Clarksville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Waldron, the victory snapped their losing streak at 13 games and leaves them with a 4-13 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarksville will face off against Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Waldron, they will challenge Mansfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
