Baseball Recap: Gainesville Takes a Loss

Gainesville made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Johns Creek, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Red Elephants fell just short of the Gladiators by a score of 7-5 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Elephants have suffered since April 17, 2024.

Cohen Miller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Collins Embry, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Gainesville's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Johns Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Gainesville nor Johns Creek have any future games scheduled.
