In what's become a running theme this season, Jersey Shore gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 60-33 victory over Danville on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Jersey Shore had established a 23 point advantage.
Peyton Dincher was her usual excellent self, scoring 26 points along with two steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Jersey Shore's points. Jocelyn McCracken was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Loyalsock Township entered their tilt with Jersey Shore with 15 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 16. Loyalsock Township enjoyed a cozy 72-56 victory over Jersey Shore on Friday. Given Loyalsock Township's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Jersey Shore is ranked 132nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jersey Shore is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Loyalsock Township, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2.
Jersey Shore lost to Loyalsock Township on the road by a decisive 72-56 margin in their previous meeting on Friday. Can Jersey Shore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
