Volleyball Recap: Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association Comes Up Short

Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Fort Dorchester Patriots by a score of 2-1.

Cade Ridgway was a one-man wrecking crew For Fort Dorchester. as he had 32 digs and three aces. Those 32 digs gave Ridgway a new career-high.

The victory snapped Fort Dorchester's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against North Myrtle Beach on the 13th. As for Fort Dorchester, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Wilson on the 13th.
