Recap: Lassen Grizzlies vs. Fall River Bulldogs
The Lassen Grizzlies suffered their biggest loss since December 2, 2023 on Saturday. 2024 welcomed they with a 72-46 loss courtesy of Fall River. Lassen just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Despite the loss, Lassen still got an impressive performance from Brook Medovitch, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Medovitch has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mili Crosno, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Fall River's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reese Cassity, who scored 27 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Serena Conway, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Lassen has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Fall River, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lassen will face off against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Anderson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Fall River, Fall River and Modoc will face off at 8:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Modoc focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Friday.
