Softball Recap: D'evelyn's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

D'Evelyn came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Conifer Lobos with a sharp 11-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Tuesday.

Nava Basquez was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, D'Evelyn let Myla Seda and Calista Hinestroza run wild. Seda got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one triple, while Hinestroza went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Salazar, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI.

D'Evelyn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conifer only posted an OBP of .308.

D'Evelyn's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Conifer, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

D'Evelyn has already played their next matchup, a 16-3 victory against Dakota Ridge on the 1st. As for Conifer, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-2 defeat against Golden on the 1st.
