After a string of five wins, Keota's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Quinton Savages, falling 10-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Lions, who until this game were averaging 4.08 runs allowed.

Keota's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Quinton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Keota will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on McCurtain at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Quinton, they will challenge Panama at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
