Lassiter is a perfect 10-0 against Sprayberry since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Trojans will host the Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lassiter has four straight victories, Sprayberry has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Lassiter's win against Riverwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans didn't even let the Raiders on the board on Tuesday, marking the Trojans' second-straight 2-0 shutout.

Etowah hit Sprayberry with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Yellow Jackets fell 13-8 to the Eagles.

Graci Pederson and Jordan Simpson did some serious damage despite the final result: Pederson went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI, while Simpson went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Shona Bowen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Sprayberry's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Lassiter, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Everything went Lassiter's way against Sprayberry when the teams last played back in September, as Lassiter made off with an 18-0 win. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
