Softball Recap: Newnan Takes a Loss

Newnan fell victim to Carrollton and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 16-0 to the Trojans. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 16-2 to the Trojans when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newnan has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season. As for Carrollton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Coming up, Newnan will be playing at home against Trinity Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carrollton, they will take on LaGrange in a tournament on Friday.
