Softball Recap: Slater Wins Going Away Against Pilot Grove

Slater never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Pilot Grove Tigers with a sharp 15-0 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Madison Bolling made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bolling was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Slater got a massive performance out of Jalyn Page, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those runs were Page's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Karlee Bellemy, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Slater always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Slater's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Pilot Grove, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

As of now, neither Slater nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
