            Football Recap: Northwest Vikings vs. Seward Bluejays        
        
		
        
        
            Northwest extended their losing streak  to three  on Friday, dropping them down to 2-4. They were beaten by the Seward Bluejays 49-7. The Vikings lost against the Bluejays in their previous head to head  back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the  35-14 score last time.
As for Seward, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Seward had a senior duo take command as  Kayson Salyer threw for 232 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes and  Jack Vyhnalek picked up 129 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs. Those 129  receiving yards set a new season-high mark for  Vyhnalek.
 Northwest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  an  18-16  loss against York on the 10th. As for Seward, they have also already played their next game,  a  42-7  win against Blair on the 10th.
