Softball Recap: Northside's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Northside and St. Pius X Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northside had to settle for second. They fell 7-4 to the Golden Lions. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Lions earlier this season, when they won 11-6.

Kennedy Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Layla Phelps, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Northside's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-8. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they pushed their record up to 18-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

While Northside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
