Basketball Recap: Fannett Metal Takes a Loss

If Fannett Metal was riding high fresh off their 57-28 takedown of North Star last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fannett Metal came up short against the Shalom Christian Academy Flames on Monday, falling 55-31. The loss continues a trend for Fannett Metal in their matchups with Shalom Christian Academy: they've now lost three in a row.

Shalom Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Adams, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 assists and nine steals. Adams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Rebok, who went 8 of 12 en route to 18 points and three steals.

Fannett Metal's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Shalom Christian Academy, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Fannett Metal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-34 victory against Shade on the 28th. Shalom Christian Academy has also already played their next match, a 50-19 win against Linden Hall School for Girls on the 30th.
