Football Game Preview: Houston Hurricanes vs. Grand Meadow Superlarks

The Houston Hurricanes will face off against the Grand Meadow Superlarks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Houston is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 32 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Wabasha-Kellogg on Friday. They were dealt a 46-8 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. The matchup marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Grand Meadow played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Alden-Conger, falling 42-6. The Superlarks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Grand Meadow didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Parker Armagost.

Grand Meadow's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Houston suffered a grim 34-14 defeat to Grand Meadow when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Can the Hurricanes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
