Caroline Grimes, Randi Roelling, Charlize Cai and Carly Short all honored as Player of the Year for their respective class.
It was nice to have postseason play back for the first time since 2019 in the Sac-Joaquin Section. We saw incredible playoff games capped off by remarkable section title battles.
It also gave us more time to see players fight for the ultimate prize. Winning plays a big part in our All-Section selections as does level of competition and what was done in big moments. Only achievements and results in section play were considered. Regional NorCal play did not play a role in our selections.
Below are 70 players — 25 players in the Class of 2022, 20 in the Class of 2023, 15 in the Class of 2024 and 10 in the Class of 2025 — we have identified as members of the 2022 MaxPreps Sac-Joaquin All-Section Softball Team. We have also named a Player of the Year for each class.
Coaches who provided complete statistical information to MaxPreps deserve a special nod for helping get their players recognized.
