Softball Recap: Fossil Ridge Takes a Loss

After soaring to 19 runs the game before, Fossil Ridge was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 8-1 to the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks.

Fossil Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Fetzer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Fetzer has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Emerson Moe also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Fossil Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lincoln Southwest, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Fossil Ridge has already played their next match (against Millard West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lincoln Southwest, they will square off against Riverdale Ridge at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Silver Hawks will need to watch out since the Ravens have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
