Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lilyana Hare and Kadyn Rhoads Lead Oley Valley to Victory

Oley Valley hadn't done well against Kennett recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Lynx strolled past the Blue Demons with points to spare, taking the game 45-31. 45 seems to be a good number for the Lynx as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Leading Oley Valley to victory were Kadyn Rhoads and Lilyana Hare. Rhoads posted 14 points, while Hare put up 11 points.

Oley Valley pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points on average over those games. As for Kennett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oley Valley will head out to face off against Conrad Weiser at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kennett will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against Chichester at 2:00 p.m. on the 29th.
