Basketball Game Preview: Choctaw Yellowjackets vs. Piedmont Wildcats

The Choctaw Yellowjackets will square off against the Piedmont Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Choctaw is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since January 27, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Putnam City North by a score of 67-64. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piedmont). They took down McLain Science & Tech 68-54 back in December of 2024. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Choctaw's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Piedmont, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
