Soccer Game Preview: Western Dubuque vs. Calamus-Wheatland

The Western Dubuque Bobcats will venture away from home to challenge the Calamus-Wheatland Warriors on Thursday. Western Dubuque has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Western Dubuque took on Linn-Mar on Friday. The Bobcats came up short against the Lions, falling 9-0. Western Dubuque haven't had much luck with Linn-Mar recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Calamus-Wheatland had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They and Assumption finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Thursday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Calamus-Wheatland have been dealt a draw since back in April.

Western Dubuque's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. Calamus-Wheatland's draw gives them a new season record of 4-9-2.
