Softball Recap: East Coweta Picks Up 12th Straight Win on the Road

East Coweta had won 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they bumped up to 11-0 to make it 13. They blew past the Trinity Christian Lions 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Trinity Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with East Coweta: they've now lost six in a row.

For Trinity Christian's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Ruth Adkins, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Adkins has hit this season. Another was Shiloh Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Looking ahead, East Coweta will be playing at home against Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Christian, they will head out to take on Pike County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
