Basketball Recap: Foothills Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Foothills Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past the Coastal Academy Stingrays with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 37-23. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stingrays, too.

Despite the loss, Coastal Academy still got an impressive performance from Heiress Afalava, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 16 points. That's the most points Afalava has posted since back in January of 2024.

The win (which was Foothills Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. As for Coastal Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Foothills Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-21 victory against Guajome Park Academy on the 17th. Coastal Academy has also already played their next game, a 39-25 win against San Diego Jewish Academy on the 16th.
