Soccer Recap: Los Lunas Comes Up Short

Los Lunas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars. While losing is never fun, Los Lunas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Atrisco Heritage Academy are ranked third).

Los Lunas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Los Lunas will challenge rival Albuquerque at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Atrisco Heritage Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe West Mesa at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
