Baseball Recap: M.L. King's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

M.L. King entered their tilt with Creekside on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Seminoles by a score of 8-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-8 last Wednesday.

Jordan Ford was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keontae Banks, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

M.L. King pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Creekside, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as M.L. King Lions duke it out with Jackson Jaguars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. M.L. King's pitchers better be ready for this one: Jackson has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Creekside, they will face off against Drew at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Creekside is facing Drew at the right time seeing as Drew is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
