Ridgeview waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Bend Lava Bears. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 12-2 win on Wednesday.

Dylan Hertel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aiden Scott, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bennett Wyatt, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ridgeview's record now sits at 18-8-1. As for Bend, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-9.
