The Woodward Academy War Eagles will square off against the Chamblee Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodward Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Woodward Academy made easy work of Chamblee and carried off an 8-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the War Eagles.

Woodward Academy got several good pitching performances, but Turner Marshall was perhaps the best, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Furthermore, Marshall didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024.

At the plate, Will Dunton was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Landon Walker was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Woodward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Chamblee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
