Softball Recap: Northview Takes a Loss

If Northview was feeling good fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Lithonia on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans came up short against the Johns Creek Gladiators on Tuesday, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-2 back in August.

Alexandria Bombard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Stella Weaver, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Johns Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 11-17.

Looking ahead, Northview will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Centennial at 5:30 p.m. As for Johns Creek, they will square off against Norcross at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gladiators are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
