Villa Park hadn't done well against El Dorado recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Villa Park Spartans put the hurt on the El Dorado Golden Hawks with a sharp 54-32 win. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Villa Park to victory were Bailey Roczey and Lauren Wolfe. Roczey went 5 for 12 on her way to 12 points along with seven assists and four steals, while Wolfe posted 11 points and five assists. That's the most assists Roczey has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Suriah Auerswald, who earned six points.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Villa Park, bringing their record for this year to 21-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for El Dorado, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-9.

Villa Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-41 win against Sonora on the 28th. El Dorado has also already played their next game, a 50-31 victory against Canyon on the 28th.
