Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Johnson County Central's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Johnson County Central hadn't done well against Weeping Water recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Johnson County Central Thunderbirds walked away with a 46-34 victory over the Weeping Water Indians. For the Thunderbirds, this counts as revenge for the 33-31 win the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Weeping Water still got an impressive performance from Brinkley Mcadams, who posted 14 points. Kalison Miller was another key player, putting up eight points.

Johnson County Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points per game. As for Weeping Water, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
