Football Game Preview: Winona Christian Stars vs. Oak Hill Academy Raiders

For the first time this season, Winona Christian will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Oak Hill Academy Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Winona Christian 14.5, Oak Hill Academy 14.7) so any points scored will be well earned.

Oak Hill Academy will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Winona Christian extended their winning streak to three last Friday. Winona Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Logan Lepard and Irwin. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Irwin posted at least 104 rushing yards in the fourth games prior.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oak Hill Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Regents 38-7 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won seven games by 20 points or more so far this season.
