After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Wilson-Henryetta finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They lost 9-1 to the New Lima Falcons. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Wilson-Henryetta's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for New Lima, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Wilson-Henryetta will head out on the road to take on Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Liberty has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.57 runs per game on average), something Wilson-Henryetta will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for New Lima, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-1 win against Haileyville on the 18th.
