MINNETONKA, Minn. -
Minnetonka (Minn.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.), 35-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Nick Rooney to
Braden Sikes in the first quarter, the Skippers were up 21-0 at the half.
Minnetonka grew its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. MHS scored once in the quarter on a Rooney touchdown pass to
Mitch Felknor.
With the win the Skippers extended their winning streak to five games. Minnetonka defeated Jefferson 38-0 last week.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 52-14 win for Minnetonka.
Minnetonka (5-0) goes up against Edina in a Lake game matchup next week, while Hopkins (1-3) locks horns with Wayzata also in a Lake game.
