Hudson and Nordonia are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Explorers will take on the Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Hudson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Austintown-Fitch 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Explorers have posted since April 28th.

Meanwhile, Nordonia waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Rangers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by just one run.

The result came thanks to Dominik Canzoni's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nordonia is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Nordonia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Wolff, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Nordonia's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Hudson, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Hudson got the 'W' when the teams last played two weeks ago against Nordonia by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Explorers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
