Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Union Broncos vs. Mammoth Huskies

Bishop Union is 8-0 against Mammoth since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bishop Union Broncos are taking a road trip to challenge the Mammoth Huskies at 6:00 p.m. Bishop Union is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Bishop Union against Frazier Mountain as the team secured a 51-6 victory. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 28 points or more this season.

Bishop Union's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kristin Allen, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Allen is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Faye Spoonhunter was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Bishop Union smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, in Monday's Canine Competition, Mammoth didn't have enough. They had to suffer through a 55-14 loss at the hands of Coleville. The Huskies have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Mammoth's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bishop Union, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Bishop Union against Mammoth in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 57-11 victory. Will Bishop Union repeat their success, or does Mammoth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
