Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wheeler County walked away with it. They blew past the Lake Oconee Academy Titans 9-1 on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Wheeler County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Wheeler County nor Lake Oconee Academy have any future games scheduled.
