Basketball Recap: Lancaster Country Day Comes Up Short

Lancaster Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 26-25 heartbreaker at the hands of Linden Hall School for Girls. Lancaster Country Day lost against Linden Hall School for Girls in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-19 score last time.

Lancaster Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Linden Hall School for Girls, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Lancaster Country Day won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mount Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Linden Hall School for Girls, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Annville-Cleona at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dutchmen will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Linden Hall School for Girls surely won't give up without a fight.
