Softball Recap: Ridgeland Takes a Loss

Ridgeland fell victim to Adairsville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 on Tuesday.

Ridgeland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailynn Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Ari Sanderfur also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Ridgeland now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Adairsville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Ridgeland will host Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Adairsville, they will venture away from home to face off against Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
