Basketball Recap: Laytonville Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Laytonville had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 52-32 margin over the Tomales Braves on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gillian Alves, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Avrie Wilson, who put up ten points.

Laytonville's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Tomales, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Laytonville has already played their next match, a 57-40 loss against Round Valley on the 17th. As for Tomales, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 30-22 defeat against Mendocino on the 17th.
