Basketball Recap: Esparto Takes a Loss

Esparto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Delta Saints and fell 75-4. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Esparto's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Delta, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Esparto will host Fortune Early College at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delta, they will take on Creative Connections Arts Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
