Basketball Game Preview: Bald Eagle Area Eagles vs. East Juniata Tigers

Bald Eagle Area is 1-7 against East Juniata since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bald Eagle Area Eagles will look to defend their home court against the East Juniata Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 11 losses in a row dating back to last season, Bald Eagle Area turned things around against Philipsburg-Osceola on Friday. They walked away with a 31-22 win over the Mountaineers. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Bald Eagle Area's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kinsey Clark, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 13 points and four steals, and Gabbie Perry, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Clark is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, East Juniata beat Forbes Road 40-36 on Saturday.

Bald Eagle Area's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for East Juniata, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Bald Eagle Area beat East Juniata 40-28 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Will Bald Eagle Area repeat their success, or does East Juniata have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
