Baseball Recap: Washington County Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Washington County has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.41 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell 11-6 to the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons.

Washington County's loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-7. As for Academy for Classical Education, they moved to 17-10 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Washington County will head out on the road to face off against Thomson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Oconee Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Gryphons surely won't give up without a fight.
