Softball Recap: Valley Falls to Longmont in First Game of Season

Valley kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 14-4 to the Longmont Trojans. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubree Montoya, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run. RyAnn Litfin was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-6 defeat against Timnath on the 16th. As for Longmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-5 loss against Northridge on the 19th.
