Soccer Recap: Pierce County Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Pierce County has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Appling County Pirates. Pierce County were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Appling County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Pierce County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Appling County, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Pierce County and Appling County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Pierce County sees the pitch they'll take on Brantley County at 7:00 p.m. on April 15. As for Appling County, their break will end when they face Ware County at 7:00 p.m. on April 1.
