Baseball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

Gilmer and West Laurens squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Gilmer had to settle for second. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 11-1. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Gilmer's loss dropped their record down to 13-18. As for West Laurens, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Laurens beat Gilmer by a score of 6-3 later that day.
