On Wednesday, Cowanesque Valley came up short against the Tigers and fell 31-18. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cowanesque Valley in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Canton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Athens 36-32.
Despite the loss, Canton saw an underclassman step up: Cailyn Van Noy scored 17 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Van Noy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daveian Crowley, who scored four points along with 15 rebounds.
Cowanesque Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Canton, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10.
