It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trego can now relate to. They came up short against the Hill City Ringnecks on Friday, falling 58-36. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

When it comes to explaining why Trego lost, don't look at Jack Conness. Despite the final result, he rushed for 166 yards and four scores. Conness showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 57 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Wynn, who threw for 141 yards and one touchdown.

Tate Balthazor had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 143 yards and five TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 45 yards and one touchdown for Hill City. With that strong performance, Balthazor is now averaging an impressive 100.5 rushing yards per game. Jaxson Smith was in the mix as well, providing Hill City with two scores.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trego fell to 10-1. As for Hill City, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
