Basketball Game Preview: Dinuba Emperors vs. Mission Oak Hawks

The Dinuba Emperors will head out to take on the Mission Oak Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Dinuba will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

Dinuba is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Selma: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Dinuba blew Selma out of the water with a 71-29 final score. The Emperors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Dinuba's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jalissa Espirito, who posted 22 points. Espirito's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Samantha Gonzalez, who scored 17 points.

Meanwhile, Mission Oak got the win against Hanford on Thursday by a conclusive 59-38. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Bullpups recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Dinuba's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points over those games. As for Mission Oak, their victory bumped their record up to 13-14.

Everything went Dinuba's way against Mission Oak in their previous matchup back in January, as Dinuba made off with a 55-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dinuba since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
