Kennedy Perkins leads a balanced attack to beat Centennial

Recap: Tehachapi Warriors vs. Centennial Golden Hawks

The Tehachapi Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 23 points or more this season. They ended the year with a bang, routing Centennial 54-31. Winning may never get old, but Tehachapi sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tehachapi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kennedy Perkins, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Perkins' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Riley Walden, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.

Tehachapi has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tehachapi and Monache will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Monache is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. As for Centennial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 6:30 a.m. on January 8, 2024. Highland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1247th, while Centennial is ranked 143rd).
